GUSTEAUX

Community guidelines

Effective 8 October 2026. Read with the Terms of Use.

Gusteaux is a kitchen, not a dumping ground. Cooks come here to show what they made and to learn from each other. These guidelines say how we keep the room usable.

Be 16 or older

If you are under 16, do not create an account. Do not post photos of anyone in a sexual or suggestive way. Never post anything sexual involving anyone under 18. We will remove it and report it where we are required to.

Post food you actually cooked

Dish posts are photographs of meals. Do not steal someone else’s plate photo and present it as yours. A restaurant receipt is not the same as your kitchen — say so if you are sharing context, and do not pretend.

Recipes may be yours, adapted, or imported from a link or a card you have the right to use. Credit the source when it is not yours. Do not paste a whole cookbook page you do not have rights to.

No hate, harassment, or threats

Do not post slurs, hate speech, bullying, or threats. Do not pile onto another cook. Critique a dish if you rate it; do not attack the person.

We block some banned phrases on the server. That is a backstop, not permission to find a workaround.

No sexual content

This is a cooking app. Do not post nudes, porn, or sexual captions. Fetish content does not belong here even if food is in the frame.

No spam or scraping

Do not flood the feed, run bots, scrape other kitchens, or use Gusteaux to sell unrelated products. We rate-limit new posts. Repeated junk gets the kitchen closed.

Private kitchens

If someone’s kitchen is private, wait to be accepted. Do not screenshot and reshare private dishes outside the app. Public kitchens are visible to other cooks in the app; still treat people as if they are in the room with you.

If something is wrong

Tap Report. That hides it for you. Hosts can delete a dish or a comment. We only ban an email when someone needs to stay out of the kitchen.

We look at reports as quickly as a small kitchen can. Filtering does not catch every photo or coded insult. If you are in danger, contact local emergency services — Gusteaux is not a crisis line.

What we will do

If you think we got it wrong, you can say so in a report note after you have an account. We may not reverse a decision.
